To get to Denman Island, you make your way to the Buckley Bay ferry terminal on Vancouver Island, for the 10-12 minute scenic sail to Denman.
To drive to the Denman Island ferry in Buckley Bay, simply take the Inland Island Highway 19 on Vancouver Island, or the very scenic Island Highway 19A
* From Victoria to Buckley Bay: 2.5 hrs.
* From Nanaimo to Buckley Bay: 1.25 hrs.
* From Comox/Courtenay to Buckley Bay: 30 min.

The Denman Island Ferry departs from Buckley Bay at approximately hourly intervals, on the hour. For more information about Ferry schedules and fares, please visit the BC Ferries web site.

Flights into nearby Comox, (located about 30 km north of Denman) make getting to Denman Island a breeze. You can fly direct Comox-Calgary in just over an hour. It is also accessible by flight from Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo. For more information, schedules and fares, visit West Jet (1-800-538-5696 ) or Pacific Coastal (1-800-663-2872). Once at the Comox airport there are shuttles and taxis available to Buckley Bay...or pre-arrange with us and we can pick you up!
Take the scenic train route through Vancouver Island to get to Buckley Bay! Take the train from Victoria or Nanaimo and it stops a short walk away from the ferry landing, making the train an accessible way to travel to Denman Island. Check train schedules with Via Rail (1-888-842-7245).
